This litigation challenges health insurance companies’ use of grossly inaccurate provider directories of doctors – known as “ghost networks”.

After four years and seven court victories – including $2.4 billion in injunctive relief – our NYC retiree clients won a victory in a rather unexpected way: Mayor Adams reversed his position and agreed not to force senior citizens and disabled first-responders into a Medicare Advantage program.

Pollock Cohen, as lead counsel, represented the whistleblower in a qui tam lawsuit brought under the False Claims Act.  It was just one of a handful of qui tam cases where the government chose to intervene, and it resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement.
