NYC Parking Ticket Machines
New York City is switching its 80,000 parking machines from devices that dispense paper receipts that you have to display in your windshield to machines that require you to input your license plate number but don’t require paper receipts to be displayed. Yet NYPD Traffic Control Agents are improperly giving tickets for not displaying a receipt. These so-called violations are improper, and you shouldn’t have to pay a fine.
If you have received such a ticket, we’d like to hear from you. Pollock Cohen is researching a class action lawsuit on behalf of drivers who have improperly received violation notices and tickets.
