Pornhub To Pay $120M To End Child Abuse Content Cases

Pollock Cohen is proud to have played a small role in the historic $120 million settlement to be paid by Pornhub to underage victims.

Lead counsel Susman Godfrey invited our team to join the case at the outset, and we are grateful to have worked alongside their extraordinary team in helping achieve this important and historic victory.

In addition to paying $120 million, Pornhub’s parent company Mindgeek – recently rebranded Aylo – has agreed to significant injunctive relief and will make substantial changes to its sites in order to protect children.

The settlement covers cases filed in California and Alabama which were consolidated before Judge Wesley L. Hsu of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The settlement remains subject to court approval.

The cases are Jane Doe v. MindGeek USA Inc. et al., Case No. 8:21-cv-00338, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and Jane Doe v. MG Freesites Ltd. et al., Case No. 7:21-cv-00220, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
