In “Judge Sides With City Retirees, Temporarily Blocking Medicare Advantage Switch” (The City, July 7, 2023) it was reported that that New York Supreme Court Justice Lyle Frank issued a preliminary injunction preventing the city from forcing 250,000 public sector retirees into a private for-profit Medicare Advantage plan. The decision is the fifth victory in the courts for the retirees.
