In “Consumers Claim Apple Devices Tracked User Activity Despite Data Sharing Settings” (Law.com, January 27, 2023), Law.com reports that a digital privacy class action lawsuit was brought against Apple in California Northern District Court. The suit alleges that Apple violates the California Unfair Competition Law by recording user activity, even after consumers explicitly choose settings to prevent data sharing.
