In “Apple Collects Mobile Device Data Even When Users Restrict Sharing, Consumer Class Action Says” (Law Street, January 17, 2023), Law Street explains that a lawsuit filed in the Eastern District of New York seeks to hold Apple accountable for what it calls “a flagrant violation of consumer privacy.” The suit alleges that Apple is unlawfully collecting data from users of iPhones and iPads, even after consumers explicitly choose settings that prevent data sharing.
