

Emily Hockett is a litigation associate at Pollock Cohen.
Prior to joining the firm, Emily was a fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. During her time at the Reporters Committee, Emily represented journalists and media organizations in defamation, First Amendment, civil rights, and court access cases. She also drafted amicus briefs in cases involving the First and Fourth Amendments and spoke and wrote extensively about emerging issues related to press freedom.
Emily graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a Ritter Scholar and Submissions Review Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law. She was also a Legal Writing Fellow, and a member of the First Amendment Clinic and the Civil Rights Clinic. She interned at the American Civil Liberties Union and the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. Emily obtained her Bachelor's Degree from New York University.
